Junior Golf

We aim to provide an enjoyable experience and to provide the best possible opportunity to learn golf in a fun and safe environment, where great lifelong friendships can be made, and to develop their skills so that they can progress at a rate that is suitable to their individual needs. For those who are progressing, we hope they will avail of the opportunity to enter and play in competitions with other members and to play on our inter-club teams when appropriate. Junior golf lessons are provided by coaching
professionals that have an exemplary reputation for teaching juniors of all abilities.

Junior Golf Policies

We have set out a Junior Member Code of Conduct Form document which sets out the rules each junior is encouraged to follow. The Club wishes that every junior member enjoys their participation in a disciplined manner, always demonstrate courtesy and
sportsmanship, irrespective of how competitive they may be. This is the spirit of golf.

Gort Golf Club have adopted the guidelines contained in Golfโ€™s Safeguarding Policy as
recommended by the Irish Sports Council and Golf Ireland. The guidelines are contained in the clubโ€™s Safeguarding Policy, a copy of which is available on request from the Club Management or Junior Committee. Gort Golf Clubโ€™s Safeguarding Statement, and Safeguarding Risk Assessment, can be found in our Junior Golf Handbook.
